Last weekend Michael and I were able to hitch a ride with our great friends, Jonathan and Anna, up to Grandview to celebrate Jonathan's graduation from A&M. Anna threw him a Graduation Tailgate party at her parent's house and it was really fun!
First we stopped to eat lunch in Hearne at a place called Ama's, and the food was good, but the service could have been better. Then we headed up to Grandview to set up for the party. There was volleyball, hillbilly golf, horseshoes, face painting, a pinata, and tons of great food and snacks. Anna made an incredible fruit sculpture of the letters aTm and an amazing cake. I've always looked up to Anna as being such an amazing hostess and party planner! Our good friends Jonathan and Jessica also came to the party! They had moved to Dallas last year and so it was really great to be able to catch up with them a little bit.
We also stayed one night at her parent's house and then went to Anna's niece's 1st birthday party next door. What a little cutie pie! Overall, it was a really fun and relaxing weekend!
Jason and Mel were kind enough to take care of our pet family while we were away - thanks so much again!! Fortunately, the dogs behaved themselves and didn't traumatize them.
