I (Christine) got a new job at TTI and now work in the Human Factors group. This promotion came with a nice office in a different building. I was basically working in a closet before. I'm not complaining, it's just that I didn't realize how much of a difference a working space of your own can make. Having a window helps me feel so much more relaxed at work. I can see the sun rise throughout the day and start to set. It rejuvinates me. I can also take little breaks and just look at the beautiful view of the park. The staff in this group have all been so welcoming and helpful. And there is a lot more variety in my daily tasks, which helps me stay motivated. I'm so thankful for this wonderful change!
Here are some pictures of it. I was still settling in, and these pictures were taken before lots of office supplies and computer equipment arrived, so it looks a little different now in terms of how things are arranged on the desk.

The view is really beautiful of a section of Research Park - the picture doesn't do it justice.

Looks nice. I miss my windows. Does every building on campus have that same series of office furniture? My shelves and desk look almost exactly the same!
Congratulations, Christine! The office looks great--the furniture is much nicer than what we had in Blocker. I bet you love having the window. Anyway, hope you are having a great day! Hopefully we can talk over the phone sometime soon.
