Thanksgiving

Since there was a football game on Thanksgiving Day, we did not have family plans to eat a Thanksgiving dinner on the actual day, but instead to eat together on Friday evening. So that meant that Michael and I were available to celebrate with friends at the church on Thanksgiving Day. Each couple brought a dish or two so the burden didn't fall on one person. It was really fun to celebrate that holiday with friends.

We were able to bring our dogs up there and keep them in the fenced in patio just outside the room we ate in. It was really funny to watch them playing together outside and with our friends' dog, Juno, until Ginger decided she did not want to be kept on that side of the fence. It was a bar fence with about a 4 or 5 inch gap...just big enough, so it turns out, for Ginger to get halfway through before getting stuck. No worries, nothing bad happened. We just had to keep a closer eye on her and scold her every time she tried to make a break for it. This was yet another example of how Ginger is a reincarnated Houdini.

After we finished eating at the church, we walked the dogs right next door to the soccer fields and let them have fun chasing their ball. It was such a beautiful day!

Then on Friday evening we ate dinner with Michael's mom, my parents, and my Meemaw. I forgot to bring my camera to that dinner, so the ones below are just from Thursday. Overall we had lots of good food and great fellowship. Enjoy the pictures!

One half of the group about to pray and then eat (minus me, taking the picture)...

And the other half of the group...

Several of us have Canon cameras, so we had a camera war. We're all winners.

So much good food!!
