Review: If you like fictional stories about love that are not quite as light and fluffy as Disney, you might like the Twilight Saga. Based on the books by Stephenie Meyer. In this first movie (New Moon is the second movie), Bella first moves to Forks, Washington to live with her dad. She is welcomed by her high school classmates except a strange group of siblings of the Cullen family who don't interact much with anyone besides themselves. Bella notices Edward Cullen and thinks he's attractive, but when she has a chance to sit next to him in a class, he acts repulsed by her. Eventually Edward begins to pursue her and Bella figures out that Edward is in fact a vampire. Edward's initial repulsion was due to his overwhelming desire to drink her blood. But the Cullen family of vampires have vowed to never drink human blood and sustain themselves on animal blood. But when a evil group of vampires come to town, trouble for Bella and Edward emerges. The focus of the movie is not on the vampire state of their lives, but more on the relationship that develops between Edward and Bella and their struggle to stay together despite their being from very different worlds.

Review: In the second movie, Bella and Edward are together, but when her life is endangered again, Edward makes the tough decision that he and the Cullen family must move away from Forks, Washington in order for Bella to have a chance at living a normal life. But there is no normal for Bella. As she copes with Edward's departure and break-up, she spends more time with a childhood boy friend named Jacob, who belongs to a local Indian tribe. Jacob, as it turns out, is not so normal either. What happens to Bella? You'll have to read the books or see the movie to find out.
