Review: This movie was very moving and had great performances by all the cast members. It is about a girl who has a troubled past and because she has a very poor relationship with her father, she runs away from home and ends up at a honey farm owned by Queen Latifah's character. The story time frame is during the 60s when the Civil Rights Movement was beginning, but there were still many issues in the south. It's definitely a drama (you may need a tissue or two) but it was a great story about finding hope and encouragement from friendships, as well as seeing past the superficial characteristics and being more accepting of people.
