I guess I got a little bored one day, so I decided to create a Word document titled "The Yager Menu". I basically went through all the recipes I have made or would like to make (yes, a lot) and listed them in this document with menu-like categories and descriptions. I added clip-art and all. There are sections for Appetizers, Soups, Poultry, Beef, Pork, Seafood, Sides, Desserts, and Beverages. I even have an "About Us" section that tells the "history" of the Yager kitchen. It ended up being 4 pages long, and will probably get bigger over time as I find new recipes I like. I printed it on pretty paper, and now have it in our kitchen to help with planning meals. I like giving it to Michael so he can choose what he wants to eat that week. It's really fun and it helps me plan out what groceries we will need!
So this week we ate a chicken, rice, veggie crockpot meal, I made banana cake last night for this week's dessert, and will make bean soup tomorrow so Michael will have plenty to get through the weekend while I'm gone (going on the Women's Retreat). I don't think I ever used to be this creative, so my friends must be rubbing off on me, which is a great thing because they are very bright and creative ladies!

I'm liking this "menu" idea...I currently use recipes from about 5 different cookbooks (plus ones I find on the internet) and it is quite disorganized.
