Our First Camping Experience...Ever!!

Well, this post is a little late, but better late than never! We went camping with a group in our Sunday school class on October 24-26 in Huntsville. It was our first time ever, but we were determined to give it a try. A mentor couple in the class was kind enough to let us borrow their huge tent, queen size air mattress, and queen size sleeping bag. We were grateful for the large size of our tent because I must say, after seeing some of the teeny-tiny tents there, I don't think we could ever go camping in anything smaller than what we had here! My only complaints were the dirtiness of the bathrooms and how I was freezing at night even though I wore two pairs of pants, two jackets, ear warmers, and had like half a dozen blankets on top of us. But the good definitely outweighed the bad. We loved being outdoors with our friends and in such beautiful scenery! The food the leaders cooked was amazing...SO GOOD! And we had fun with all of the activities, like hiking trails, ultimate frisbee, and nights by the campfire. Above are some of the nature pictures I took while we were hiking. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend!
