April:
- I got the highest score ever on Wii Fit soccer...gotta watch out for those panda heads!
- We attended the Easter Pageant at Central Baptist - my Dad played a Roman soldier!
- I found a recipe from Lola's blog that is almost identical to my favorite pasta dish from our favorite Italian restaurant - Baked Penne from Caffe Capri...oh my goodness, it's amazingly delicious!
- We attended the semi-annual Parade of Homes, and found a builder that we are really impressed with: JMV Custom Homes
- I worked a crazy number of hours for a driving study we had going on at TTI, but it's over and I'm slowly getting back to a "normal" routine
- We were invited by a sweet lady, Cindy, to go ride horses at her family's farm! I had not ridden in almost two years, so it was a very welcomed invitation. Michael rode too and we both had so much fun!
- Michael turned 25 and my Meemaw turned 91!
- We celebrated FOUR YEARS of marriage - woohoo!
- We realized that now was the time to start looking for houses since the process can take a few months...so we looked at already built homes in the area, but nothing really impressed us for the price being asked.
- So we continued to meet with Jason Marek of JMV Custom Homes, and felt more and more at peace with the idea of building instead of buying.
- At this point, we have a tentative floorplan designed and a lot picked out in Austin's Colony and pending the spec sheet Jason will be providing us this week, we are likely going to be building our first home and moving sometime in early September!
- We are just so thankful to the Lord for having provided for our needs over these four years of marriage and allowing us to save up for our first home so soon!
