- Enjoyed visiting with my (Christine's) side of the family when many came and stayed at my parent's house.
- For July 4th, we were very patriotic. We slept late, went to church, and then went to go see Twilight Eclipse. Afterwards we hung out at home and went to bed early. Isn't that what everyone does on Independence Day?? No? Ok, moving on...
- We both registered to take the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in October. Passing this exam and then working for a certain number of years allows you to apply for a Professional Engineer license in TX.
- Celebrated my Mom's and Mom-in-law's birthdays
- Had some friends over who brought their precious daughter and we all had a movie night watching The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe
- Played ULTIMATE FRISBEE!!
- The Cherrys came over for another of our epic summer Cherry-Yager Movie Nights
- Went to a delicious potluck get-together last night at the Taylor's with the old Bible study group
- This is all in addition to meetings and work commitments that seem to occupy nearly every night of the week. It's all very fun, it's just hard to not have a night in at home for a long time.
We have also been very busy with softball this summer. Michael is managing both a coed and a men's team. The coed team is "Holy Matrimony!" and is doing awesome with a 7-1 standing. The men's team is "Double Duty" and is a very strong and talented team. The men's division is extremely competitive, and so Double Duty has a 4-4 record, but I believe they will do well in the tournament. They're called Double Duty because many men on the team play in the coed game right before playing in the men's game, so they are a little drained of energy! Well, that's all the updates for now...I'll try to post again soon!
