Blog Makeover!

So you may have noticed a few changes to our blog...Well that's right, we have performed a good ol' fashioned makeover on our family blog!

I'd like to point out some of the new features:

• Perhaps most obvious, is the new photo of us at the top and the page border that consists of a collage of photos. Michael custom designed this page border and I think he did a superb job! In fact, if you look closely, you may be able to notice a slightly transparent photo underneath the blog posts that depict a heart drawn in the sand with the words "Michael loves Christine forever" written inside. Yes, my husband is that amazing!
• Next you might notice a menu bar that has been added just below the large photo of us in the header. This was quite the challenge to figure out how to make one of these in Blogger, but hard work paid off because we ended up with a really cool menu bar. It contains links to other sites that will help you stay in touch with us a little better. You can view our public photo albums, videos, our movie reviews, and the silly blog and Twitter pages we created for our dogs.
• The next change we made was making our blog a 3-column layout instead of 2 columns. This allows us to put more information on each side of the blog posts, without you having to scroll down quite as far.
• On the left side bar, we have the photo slideshow from our vacation to Colorado Springs, the list of books that we have read or are currently reading in 2010, the list of TV shows we currently watch, and movies we have watched in 2010 in chronological order.
• On the right side bar, we have links to our profiles (click on Michael or Christine to view), the list of those who "Follow" us, topics of interest that we have blogged about, the archive of all of our blog posts, and the list of all the blogs we follow. Note that the "Topics of Interest" are the same thing as "Labels" attached to each blog post, and they are now organized in a handy and condensed drop down menu. Also notice that the "Blog Archive" is now condensed to a drop down menu to save space.

There may be a few more changes coming in the near future, but for now, we hope you like what we've done with our family blog!
