It's been a while...

Sorry about the lack of posts recently. I was pretty busy at work the last couple weeks, which is normally when I do blog posts (real productive, huh?) Here's some quick updates:

Our Dates...
Our date night to Olive Garden was really fun - the waitress let us order new pasta bowls without having to finish the prior one, and she let us take home all the leftovers. (She was the one who volunteered all of this too!) It was a wonderful food-filled evening and time to just have fun with my dreamy hubby. We have also purchased several DVDs this month and have been enjoying movie nights. And we bought the new Wii Sports Resort game and it's been really fun even though he usually beats me :)

Softball...
We have also been playing softball again this fall. So far we have lost the first two games and won the third. It's really fun to play together as a couple because we get to encourage one another and have fun at the same time. Plus, when we lose, we get great practice at having a winning attitude.

Sick Days...
I caught a cold over this past weekend, but it was no big deal because I'm a full-time worker now. I love that I'm no longer a student and don't have to worry about all that I miss when I get sick. I can just take a sick day, and my work is halted until I get better. Ironically, this has been the mildest cold virus I've ever had in my life, and I personally believe it's because I wasn't stressed about getting sick in the first place. I think stress has a powerful affect on your body, so I think because I wasn't worried about tests or classes I'd have to make up (if I had been a student), my body was able to recuperate much quicker.

Michael's School & Work...
Michael has been working really hard on a project that he will present to two graduate project management courses (he will assign the students a mini-project). He's having to do a lot of prep work for that and he's been feeling pressured about it...so your prayers for that would be appreciated. And a praise is that he scored a 96 on his first exam this semester, and also that he has been enjoying every class he's taking, which motivates him to learn more on his own.

Our Girls...
Ginger and Abby have been a hoot, as always. Recently I came across this article about how to properly walk your dog. There was also a link that lists some dominant behaviors dogs exhibit so that we humans can recognize that maybe Spot and Fido aren't just being cute - they're actually trying to establish that they are the boss. We compared Ginger's behaviors to that list. The result? She exhibits nearly every single one of them...many of them we thought were just cute things she did to show us she loves us...boy were we WRONG! Anyways, this motivated us to take that proper dog walking article seriously. It explains that when you let a dog walk in front of you, you are telling him/her that they are the leader of the pack. So the solution is to have your dog walk next to or even behind you. Abby is totally on board with this - she's always been very submissive - just look at her meanly, and she breaks. But Ginger HATES this new walking method and literally stretches her neck as far forward as she can so that her nose will be ahead of your body when trying to force her to walk next to/behind us. We'll see how this goes...

Prayer Requests...
Right now, our biggest prayer request is that the Lord will guide our decisions as Michael's schooling days come to an end. Our desire is to stay in CS and both work at TTI. But if that doesn't happen, then we will likely have to move (most likely to Dallas). I'm surprisingly not that worried about this, mostly because I'm focused on the Ruth attitude (Where you go, I will go). But as December quickly approaches, we would appreciate your prayers about these big decisions we'll have to make. Thank you all and God Bless!
